Happy March 1st, my wonderful Ageless Fitness Journey community! Can you believe we’re stepping into a new month already? Speaking of new beginnings, today holds a special significance for me—it marks the countdown to my birthday on the 19th. Unlike the past few years, I’m genuinely excited about celebrating this milestone. It’s amazing how a fitness journey can transform our bodies and outlook on life.

A Casual Recap

Let’s take a moment to look back at February, our Heart Month. We have dived deep into matters of the heart, exploring various aspects of heart health that are particularly relevant for amazing women like you and me.

We took a journey of knowledge with five heart-centered articles:

Exercise for Women’s Heart Health: Discovering the joys of staying active to keep our hearts pumping happily.

Hormonal Impact on Cardio Health: Understanding how hormones affect a healthy heart.

Stress Impact on Cardio Health: discussing the connection between stress and our heart’s well-being and how to manage it.

5 Essential Vitamins for Women Over 40 to Support Heart Health: Exploring the essential role of specific vitamins in maintaining a healthy heart.

A Guide to Cardio Health for Women 40+: Navigating the pathways to cardiovascular well-being as we embrace our 40s.

At the start of January, I told y’all that I laced up my sneakers and started my fitness journey. I’m thrilled to share that I’ve shed a total of 8 lbs. so far! Of course, the road isn’t without its challenges. I still find myself wrestling with consistent water intake and occasionally succumbing to stress eating. But hey, progress is progress, right?

In one of my previous posts, I mentioned my Cirkul water bottle – the 22oz White Stainless Steel Flavor Water Starter Kit with the Blue Lid. It’s seriously changed my hydration game—no joke. You can change the flavor with this dial thingy– the cartridge, I guess. I just like a hint of flavor, so I keep it on 2. They have different versions, like plastic ones, but I like stainless steel. I think this may have been a gift—I can’t remember, to be honest…the point is I love it.

I ran out of the cartridges and never replenished them, so my water intake stopped–dehydration is real. I’ve been candid about drinking water consistently, which is a struggle for me. I had massive headaches and dizziness—I missed work a few times. I say this to say…please drink enough water and be consistent. I am happy to say I am back on track and hope to continue since I replenish my cartridges.
