As we dive into the new year, I wanted to take a moment to share something exciting—I’ve officially kicked off my fitness journey!

Life’s twists and turns have occasionally nudged my personal wellness goals to the back burner, much like that forgotten item in the fridge. But hey, as they say, we’re all a work in progress, right?

So, here it is – drumroll, please! I’ve officially laced up my sneakers and stepped onto the fitness track! Yep, this journey isn’t just about the blog; it’s about me diving headfirst into pursuing health and vitality. But let me share a little secret – amidst the delightful chaos of crafting our space here, my fitness goals occasionally found themselves playing hide and seek.

But hey, aren’t we all a beautiful work in progress? Cue the confetti! So, as we stroll into this new year, I’m putting my fitness journey under the spotlight. I’ve faced the scale, taken those ‘before’ snapshots (the less said about those, the better, trust me!), and even penned down a plan to bid adieu to 43 pounds – yep, you read that right!

But fear not, this won’t be a dramatic ‘mission impossible’ scene. Instead, think of it as a quirky sitcom where I stumble through yoga poses and attempt to conquer the world of kale smoothies (believe it or not, I love kale)!

I won’t promise to be the next fitness guru overnight. Still, I’m eager, determined, and ready to share this rollercoaster ride toward a healthier, happier self. So, join me as I navigate this journey—there’ll be laughter, sweat, maybe a few tears (mostly from chopping onions for those healthy meals), and a lot of support. Let’s do this together!

Measurements: I’ve officially done the science experiment and recorded my starting point. Insert suspenseful pause. Waist: 40 inches, Hips: 43 inches, and Weight: 183 lbs. I should note that I am 5 ft 5.5 inches. Yep, those are the numbers I’m setting out to change—and I’ve logged them on the app Lose It. Please note that there is a free and paid version of the app.

Why am I doing this? Well, the truth is, while my main goal is to be healthier and shed those stubborn 43 pounds to alleviate the pain in my lumbar and cervical spine areas, let’s not get it twisted—I’ve got another motive up my sleeve. Ahem… I also want to look incredible in my clothes! Yep, no lies there! Cue a cheeky wink!

Listen, I’ve heard it all. I like the kind words saying, “Why do you want to lose weight? You look amazing; you look fine,” I genuinely appreciate those sentiments. But here’s the thing… insert a playful pause. I’ve got goals, not just for the scale but for how I feel inside and out.
